Generate and Print Stamps.com Shipping Labels

Enable Stamps.com within SEO-Cart

You must already have US Postal Service shipping enabled and properly configured in SEO-Cart to continue. Perform the following steps to set up an stamps.com account within SEO-Cart.

  1. Login to SEO-Cart and go to Configure->Shipping Settings->US Postal Service. If you haven't done so already, you must first enable US Postal Service as an active shipping merchant before proceeding. 
  2. Click the "Stamps.com Settings" button towards the top of the page.
  3. Click the "Enable Stamps.com Shipping Label Printing" checkbox and enter your Stamps.com username and password.
  4. Select your default shipping label format (GIF, EPL Thermal, PDF) and any other required settings. 
  5. Submit your settings

Buying Stamps.com Postage within SEO-Cart

After printing a shipping label, you will be presented a link below the label to buy additional postage. Your remaining balance after the current label you printed will also be displayed. You can also buy stamps.com postage by performing the following steps:

  1. Login to SEO-Cart and go to Configure->Shipping Settings->US Postal Service.
  2. Click the "Stamps.com Settings" button towards the top of the page.
  3. Click the "Stamps.com Account Information" button towards the top of the page.
  4. Enter the Amount of Postage to Purchase under the Buy Stamps.com Section.
  5. Click the Buy Postage button.

After purchasing postage, the status of the transaction will be displayed shortly. You can click the Refresh Account Status button to see your latest account information.

  • Note that you can also turn auto-buy on by logging in to your stamps.com account. Stamps.com auto-buy allows you to automatically purchase a certain amount of postage when your account balanced reaches below a specified dollar amount

Printing a Stamps.com Shipping Label

Make sure to set your print shipping label type to GIF, EPL, or PDF before printing a label. This can be done by referring to the Enable Stamps.com within SEO-Cart section above. 

  1. Login to SEO-Cart and view the order you would like to print a shipping label for.
  2. Review the preselected values and make sure everything looks correct before printing the label. 
  3. Optionally click the "Check Cost" button to see what the label will cost before printing it.
  4. Click the "Validate Shipping Address" button to verify the customer's shipping address is valid.
  5. Click the "Generate Stamps.com Shipping Label button" 

Once the label has been generated. You will be able to print the label, notify the customer with the new tracking number(s), and void the shipping label.

Voiding a Stamps.com Shipping Label

  1. Login to SEO-Cart and view the order that has the label you would like to void.
  2. Click "View Shipping Label".
  3. Click the "Void Shipping Label" button and confirm the action.

Voiding a shipping label will refund the cost of the label back to your stamps.com account.
