UPS Product Shipping Options

Support Home > Knowledge Base > SEO-Cart > Help Articles > Configure Shipping Settings

You can setup detailed custom packaging within SEO-Cart and UPS. To do this, modify the product(s) you wish to setup custom shipping options for and go to the “Shipping Options” section. Once there, you can configure various options:

Separate Packaging: Check this option if the product must be shipped in its own packaging separate from other products.

Package Dimensions: Enter the length, width, and height (in inches) for your product. If multiple products are purchased within a single order and they are not setup for separate packaging, SEO-Cart will automatically choose the largest package dimensions.

Bulk Quantity Packaging: Configure bulk quantity packaging if your product has different packaging when multiple quantities of the product are purchased at once.

Example: If you use special packaging (Dimensions [Length x Width x Height]: 55x10x9 inches) for when a customer purchases a quantity of 12 or more, add a bulk quantity definition like so: Quantity start: 12 = Number of Packages: 1, Package #1 Dimensions (LxWxH): 55 x 10 x 9 inches.

Check the "Specify repeating package quantity" checkbox if you would like to add additional packages based on an arbitrary amount of additional items purchased. A repeating package quantity will be satisfied until the next largest Bulk Quantity Packaging Definition condition is met. If a repeating package quantity is specified for your largest Bulk Quantity Packaging Definition, then the repeating package quantity will go on forever as your inventory will allow.

Declared Value: Enable declared value if you would like to add shipping insurance for the product. The declared value cost will be set as the product price that the customer is paying. This option will automatically be set if declared value is enabled for your store.

Delivery Confirmation: Enable delivery confirmation if you require a signature to be signed when the product has been shipped to its destination.

Exclude Shipping: Enable this option if you do not wish to calculate shipping costs for this product. If this option is turned on, you will have to contact the customer with their shipping costs for this product after their order is placed.

Quantity Exclude Shipping: Enable this option if you do not wish to calculate shipping costs for this product if a specified order quantity is met. If this option is turned on and the specified order quantity is met, you will have to contact the customer with their shipping costs for this product after their order is placed.
