Configure PayPal Standard or PayPal Pro

Sign up for a PayPal Standard or Pro account

PayPal Standard accounts can accept PayPal Express Checkout payments which will direct your customers to PayPal's website to verify their payment before finalizing their purchase on your website. PayPal Pro accounts can accept credit card payments (Direct Payments).

  1. Login to SEO-Cart and go to Configure->Payment Methods.
  2. Choose PayPal Pro (Direct Payment) or PayPal Standard (Express Checkout).
  3. Check the Enable PayPal Payment option checkbox and select the PayPal Pro or PayPal Standard account type.
  4. Enter in your API Username, API Password, and API Signature obtained from PayPal.
    • Please refer to the "Requesting API Credentials for PayPal Standard or PayPal Pro" documentation below for help on obtaining your API Username, API Password, and API Signature.
  5. Enable the PayPal Direct Payment option to use your PayPal Website Payments Pro account (if you have one) to accept credit cards on your website using PayPal as the merchant.
  6. Enable the PayPal Express Payment option to accept PayPal Express payments on your website.

To do this, login to your PayPal account, click on Profile, then Website Payment Preferences, then enable the option under Contact telephone number.
